Nato inizialmente come sezione staccata del Conservatorio “San Pietro a Majella” di Napoli su impulso del Maestro Vincenzo Vitale, l’istituzione ha trovato la sua definitiva autonomia e una sede moderna nel delicato periodo della ricostruzione post-terremoto. Da allora, il Conservatorio “D. Cimarosa” è cresciuto costantemente, affermandosi come una delle più grandi e prestigiose istituzioni di Alta Formazione Musicale (AFAM) del Mezzogiorno. Since then, the “D. Cimarosa” Conservatory has steadily grown into one of the largest and most prestigious institutions for Higher Artistic and Musical Education (AFAM) in Southern Italy.
